π Meet Joe
Joe Kam is the man people call when a snake turns up in the toilet or a civet takes up residence in the ceiling. Better known as Uncle Joe to many, he is a wildlife rescuer who doesn’t just remove animals β he also keeps them out for good.
He started out doing odd jobs, worked at Apple, and later volunteered with ACRES before joining them full-time. In mid-2021, he left to start JK Wildlife β so he could run his own rescue and exclusion work without waiting on a charity roster.
Today, he runs a small team out of Tuas, with bunks for night jobs. His calm voice and steady hands are familiar to many from TikTok and rescue videos β pythons on his arm, reassuring viewers that “Singapore has no animal that eats people.”
