Every participant walks through the same clinical-grade screening.
High-resolution images of the innermost layer of the eye, the part that receives vision. It screens for “hidden” or latent eye diseases that can cause blindness in later stages.
A computerized tonometer measures internal eye pressure. Glaucoma is a blinding disease that usually arises from high pressure, with no pain or discomfort. Vision loss starts at the periphery, unnoticed. We also carefully examine the optic nerve to assure its health.
Cataracts are a highly prevalent cause of blindness, especially above 50. Through early detection, we can advise on measures to slow progression.
Screens for underlying “degree” or refractive error that may undermine work performance and personal wellbeing.
Participants hear their results on the spot from our MOH-licensed optometrist on duty. If any problem is detected, we advise immediately and, if necessary, write a referral letter to see an ophthalmologist.
An electronic copy of their eye results, sent within 2 weeks.
